Why Leeds?

Leeds, a city at bursting with life and cultural energy

Yorkshire's unofficial capital. A vibrant metropolis full of activity and cultural energy, right in the center of things. A thriving artistic community featuring national theater and dance organizations that have won awards, a world-class arena with a strong independent dining culture that is unique to the area. A well-known shopping destination where Victorian arcades and major brands coexist.

Additionally, it serves as a warm host for international athletic competitions, vibrant carnivals, and a jam-packed schedule of festivals and events. A place that is conveniently accessible by car, rail, and air, and a skyline full with magnificent buildings.

PUBS & BARS

My favourite pubs and bars in Leeds

Pixel Bar

Pixel Bar

Leeds' first dedicated gaming bar, its the place to be for gamers of all levels. Whether you're an experienced pro or just starting out, this bar has something for everyone. Its West Yorkshire's only bar dedicated to esports, video games, and board games.

Address:

25 Great George Street

What I like about it

When you visit, you'll find a range of high-spec gaming PCs, console booths, and a wide selection of board games. The Pixel bar also regularly host tournaments and special events. Come by and join the fun.

Angelica

Angelica & Crafthouse

Located on the fifth and sixth floor of the Trinity Leeds shopping centre, Angelica & Crafthouse can be accessed directly via a scenic lift on Boar Lane or from within the shopping centre. It has a terrace with views to the city.

Address:

Level 5 & 6 Trinity Leeds, 70 Boar Lane

What I like about it

Angelica & Crafthouse offers regularly changing seasonal British menus, an extensive and sofisticated cocktail list, live music and gorgeous views across the city from within the restaurant or the exclusive outside terraces.

Whitelocks

Whitelock's Ale House

Whitelock's received royal approval when Prince George, later Duke of Kent, entertained a party in a curtained-off section of the restaurant in 1912. Whitelock's today continues in its busy role as a pub and eating place.

Address:

Turk's Head Yard, Leeds LS1 6HB

What I like about it

Whitelock's is the very definition of a hidden gem. Step through an unassuming and almost-hidden entrance in the centre of bustling Briggate and under the gilded Whitelock's letters and be magically transported to the splendour of Leeds' finest Victorian pub.
